Notes on General Submissions
Please note that we do not accept unsolicited fiction submissions, but for all other submissions, please send a covering letter and three sample chapters, including return postage to:

We recommend that authors looking for an agent use Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook published by A&C Black.

Please allow at least 12 weeks for a response. We respond in writing to every submission we receive.

No return postage = no reply!



Notes on Academic submissions

We welcome submissions for books aimed at both school and university level in the fields of Archaeology, Greek and Latin Classics, Ancient & Medieval History and Ancient Philosophy.
In the first instance please send your CV and a brief description of your proposed book of no more than 1000 words, covering its scope, originality, structure and level of readership. Please email this material to Deborah Blake at this address: Deborah@duckworth-publishers.co.uk.
